Low compression can cause not going into reverse as can a tight belt. Working on the stand is not how to test reverse

You need to know what rpm the jaws pipe is meant to run. At the least I'd run some 10-68 weights, Possibbly 70's

Polaris 120-310 Primary spring, 10-68 weights on stock machine.

There isn't any legit performance parts for that sled. Best to just be sure your primary and secondary springs are new, all your bushing are good in the clutchs. You could balance your weights. Everything else is trial and error.

It will mount right in from what I remember. Neither engine was a proud moment for Polaris. The 900 was actually a 855 and the 700 a 755.
