hi all, 2002 600 Edge. This is my "donor" sled. totally rebuilt the motor (crank, pistons) couple years ago. this past season... i cant seem to get RPM up to 8000. the top end kind of "fluctuates"... see the video. Is this a Clutch issue?? or a Carb issue?? Open to all suggestions! thx!!!!

Gas guage always shows to the "low" side... even when tank topped off its showing 1/2 tank. how do i adjust? also: should the gas line IN THE TANK be a certain length to make sure its LOW ENOUGH in the tank to get all the fuel? thx!

no. also: cant get over 7000 rpm (???) 0 to 3/4 throttle is sluggish...

1) yes choke cable is correct 2) just fyi when choke is 1/2 way on... engine bogs down (just fyi it doesnt help issue if choke is on) 3) manual says 1.75 turns. 4) at 1.75 engine bogged... and backfired 5) video is at 1.25 6) Reeds have NOT been replaced... never thought of that. 7)fyi its -5...

Hi All I rebuilt this really nice sled. Its gonna be the "backup" or the "bring a friend sled" New pistons, exhaust valves, bellows, jets. Sled has pipe and clutch. QUESTION if you watch video... It seems kinda boggy on the low end.. Any suggestions on what adjustment to tweak next? Video...

WAIT- STOP THE PRESSES!... so i took it out last night for longer ride to really test it... LOW END is great- nice and peppy... no back fires and idles great.... but the mid to high end is really flat... 50mph is max... i feel like it has no power from 50% to full throttle.... any ideas???

Rebuilt carb- not just cleaned- but all new seals and jets and gaskets. BINGO. That fixed it. thx for the help-- now to find some snow to really test it!!

Hi All, My sled doesnt have wiring for helmet visor. I do see 2 wires hanging behind the dash. they do supply 12V Can i just use these to supply the wiring harness for the helmet visor?? Thanks!! SEE PIC

update; yes it was running rough when i got it.. owner didnt want to mess with it. his loss, hopefully my gain :) yes putting on choke alittle does smooth it out. Reeds are spotless see pics. QUESTION: im thinking of REPLACING, not just cleaning all the jets and screws in carb-- can someone...

ok it’s speed works. here is what they told me it should be: 430 main. i dunno what’s in carb now. will take apart again and look could it be reeds?

WHERE would i find the jetting info for starting line products... THX!

Hi all, newbie alert! So i picked up this very clean 02 600 Engine rebuilt about 500 miles ago. Has an aftermarket pipe. I did clean out carbs. On idle it backfires. Is this because of the pipes? Or Carb issue?? See Video attached. WATCH WHERE ENGINE IS IDLEING TOWARD END OF VIDEO...IT...
