Just a big thank you! I tried the two springs you recommended , plus added the derlin washer while replacing the secondary spring - and BAM! what a difference! engagement is @4100-4200 and the low-end & midrange is even better!! Still over-revving to 8400-8450..still even see 8500, so i want...
I have searched - and nothing.
Just want to know where the stock Polaris ones are at verses the ones i am going to replace mine with...for reference ??
Thanks - Matt
Ahhh yes, the "search" function works - I am researching this now. looks many people tried different springs......but my sled was always "right on the pipe" and my max speed recall is 100mph...so not to bad for the track & gearing. Looking to maybe get a little more snap from the bottom and...
OK - here goes. 2015 PRO-X Switchback - I was very happy with the performance with the "stock" clutching last year for the 2000+ miles i rode it. Since I am not going to swap track & gearing this year like i wanted to - i will run it again with the stock backcountry X and the 1.86 gearing. I...
I would trade even-up for a RIPSAW II or a COBRA track for my Switchback PRO-X. However, i did enjoy the backcountry and suprisingly have no hyfax wear -but, i rode my dad's stock PRO-S a lot, and realized i pretty much ride mostly all trails.....just looking for a good option while my track is...
I started the sled this past Saturday and it has 2028 miles on it. Original belt....Over the course of this winter I checked deflection a bunch of times, but only adjusted it once. Adjusted the chaincase tension once....adjusted the track a couple times. Had to tighten up the battery cables...
I totally understand. I was just commenting on MY sled. as earlier in that last day it ran up to 8400-8350 rpm and ripped up to almost 100mph without issue, as per normal. I will try and sit back and "hurry up & wait!" hahahahaaa!!
I also plan on updating clutch parts ( and install a new...
As the title states......I actually liked the Backcountry X on my PRO-X this past year!! BUT, i hardly did any off-trail stuff. Anybody have a PRO-S that may want to swap track's ??
Just a thought. I have no problem running this track another year.....as if memory serves me right, the last time...
OK..OK...I didn't mean to start anything. That was the ONLY variable i could think of that was "different" through the whole year. I adjusted my belt deflection once.......like i said i know the feel & sound of my sled. Loved every second on it this year. Just want this year to be the same or...
That's the only variable i can possibly think of (for mine anyway)....as on that last weekend i rode - i saw temps on my display that were in the 130's....132, 134...137......and then it would go down to the normal 125 - 127 and then back up again..??. ALL winter in normal winter conditions is...
It's gotta be cooling system related......thats the only , only thing that acted funny on my last trip, on the last day no less! when it was warm in the UP in March ( higher than normal temps on my temp read-out ) to an otherwise FLAWLESS running 800 HO Switchback PRO-X. I think i may wait for...
No Worries ! It's not on my "priority list" of stuff to buy just yet, so we'll see as it gets closer & closer to Fall...I just thought if someone did not like the anniversary seat and wanted the standard seat instead , this would be an easy swap- so ??
