So I ran my sled today and DR. Notadoos clutching is pretty much on point, sled ran really good running 8200 8300 , now of course I have a slp pipe so your results may very , secondary was cool too the touch , primary was pretty hot but I was on and off the gas , I may have too go up a little on the primary spring too slow the upshift a tad or go with a 48/44 with stock secondary spring, but the setups really close ........ Again thanks DR and Brock for helping us guys out on this site !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised the clutching worked well. From the advice I've been reading it would only work with 1.74. But that's great though!, I'm sure it'll be even better if you decide to re gear
 
We run alot of lakes and rivers so I didn't do it yet ..

By the way, that slp set up on dyno needs to rev 8400 rpm. Under actual riding load,same.

I see your using 10 series weights. I like them. But the problem I see is not enough tip weight. This would give you more belt pinch up top and cool the primary down if the 10 series had more tip weight.

Pros800 is using the new pro mag ssi adjustable weights with good success. I got him set up too. The base is 61.6 grams and each magnet is 1.4 grams .
I would try a set of adjustables just because of more tip weight= more belt pinch up top=cooler primary=full shift out plus . Somewhere around 68 grams as I see you didn't regear. That should get your rpm up without changing anything else. (8400, were you need to be with slp)

The reason I gear lower, is cause these engines love the primary weight and softest springs possible. You can't load it with much primary weight with the 1.61 ratio. To light of primary weight and hi rate of springs =heat and slippage. Load that mofo.

Ya I like these weights alot more then my 10-70 weights I also have. Just got back from riding and both my clutches were the temp and not hot at all. Running the 120/310 spring. 66-44-46 helix, 140,220 spring. I am also gonna try the 50/44 helix just waiting for it to get here. Had in the 140/310 spring but it engaged alittle to high. Good for snow cross tho lol

Revving 8350 rpm all the time.


I had him set up with a 140/300 and 140/310, but the ssi heels are tucked more then most weights so it engages around 47-4800. The 120 start rate primary spring got him down to 4200 now.

Brock I have these too play with they are 4 hole instead of 3 , each mag is 1.4 so I'm gonna try 2-2-1-2 and see what happens ...

base is 59
each magnet weights is 1.4 same as ssi

brock ,how would a primary spring with a 100/305 work with ssi wghts 1.74 gearing 50-44 helix looking to keep engagement around 3800

The 66/44.46 is known as a compound helix(2 angle). Which means it starts at a 66 degree first for .46" then goes to the 44 degree angle. These type are good for racing as the 66 degree will launch hard then go to a 44 degree to finish and keep rpm up.
The 50/44 full progressive starts out 50 degree angle from launch, then 49, then 48, and so on the 44 finish angle. These type of helixs are know to have better back shift then the compound helix. You can race with these too.
