Just ordered a new 50-44f Team helix off ebay. $89 shipped. Pretty good price I thought. Really thinking hard on that Jaws pipe. 2 years warranty left on sled has me a little concerned. Also I just bought a new seat yesterday for my Triumph Bonneville. Good deal there though, so the pipe is still in play. Have to check for sure what other secondary springs I have to use with this heel beyond the blue/blk oem. Season underway!Letitsnow
 
I was considering that as well and looking into BMP's custom 50-44F/48-44F. Was like a little over 100 bucks shipped, but ended up going the Tied route instead. Hoping that I can get that working great.
 
Dave, I went with the Jaws pipe for my '16. Too many positives on it right now from those who ran it last season to pass up. It's in transit currently and should arrive any day. Curiosity got the best of me I guess. I'll see how it performs on my '16 before I decide to buy another for my '17. I have a feeling if this pipe does live up to its hype, it'll be in short supply.

Just do it man!!!
 
Wish I would have known about that bmp heel although I do have a 48-44 f heel I bought last year. I will give it a try in my Indy 600.

Dave, just drink some of the Jaws coolaid...lol. As Johnny and Brock said, you cant go wrong with Gregs pipe. its a winner..turning the rpm range up a couple hundred rpm wont hurt that motor, and wont change ur clutching.
 
I got my y pipe, jaws pipe and muffler/can black ceramic coated.
I'll post pics in a couple weeks
Dave, the pipe will add to your performance.
I think you just need more belt pinch as you posted in other threads
 
Helix here. 140-220 and 155-222 {did not want to use a 10 year old one} springs on the way. QAP3's or welded 66's next decision, then Jaws??

.632 = 2.6 grams
.385 = 1.4 grams
.250 = I'm guessing is .9-1.0 grams
these are cpc set screws,which I'm sure are the same as the daltons. the 1.00 and .250 I'm using in a set of cpc weights that are in my buddys sks
 
Big fuse has a set of qap3's and just texted me the weights

This your lucky day as I have them right in front of me.
1/4 inch is .7 gram
3/8 inch is 1.3 gram
1/2 inch is 1.9 gram
5/8 inch is 2.5 gram
3/4 inch is 3.1 gram
1 inch is 4.3 gram
I managed to get my hands on some 5/16 inch screws at work but haven't weighed them yet.
 
Doc, look in the other thread. The tungstens HPE sells are .875 long only, weighing 5.4 grams. . I mentioned wondering if one could be cut in half for 2.7 grams but wonder if the tungsten would fall out, as i think they are regular set screws with tungsten inserts? Maybe I am wrong..

The 155-222 is one of my favourite secondary springs.
 
Dave I have not heard of any engine failure because of a pipe , I think your good , lol
 
In that HPE catalog pic i posted it says "custom made with pure tungsten inserts". .
 
155/222 and 140/220 came today. Just ordered Dalton QAP3's from Wahl brothers Racing.
 
We need to weigh some tungsten screws at .385 and see what they are
I just started the process of making some of my own "super slugs" with tungsten inserts. I was planning on doing them at 3/4 and 1" lengths to get the most bang for the buck. What other lengths and weights would you like to see?

Dave , why wouldn't the set screw be completely out of tungsten?
Tungsten has the highest melting point of any pure metal and so I think the manufacturing process to make a couple hundred (at most) set screws would be pretty expensive. It's MUCH cheaper to drill plain steel set set screw and press/solder in a small piece of tungsten. This is what I'm doing...

If anyone wanted some "super slugs", I'm sure I could make and ship out a few sets pretty cheaply.
