Pipe shoot out dec 22

Yes it's on my 16 axys rmk.. Jim said it would be safe in eth mode just down on power a bit because of timing and a bit rich in mid range.. should be out of brake in 23 hours about 330 miles.

I've been hearing all kinds of different opinions on break in.
I do know on my 2015 Switchback 800, at the 600 mile mark, it came alive!

I run my SLP exhaust in the non-eth mode all the time, whether I run eth gas, or non -eth.
No problems.

So I believe the Pipe testing was done with Non-Eth gas in the sleds? The Map DTR designed for the SSI mod was set up to be run in "Eth" mode I think? So what can be expected if I run 91 ETh gas because I can't find Non Eth gas?
If you have a 15 your still fine if you have a 16 add 3% more fuel and your good, you can also store 2 maps and buy the switch kit and have a richer map if your worried, just add another 2-3% on second map

The hot map for the bmp and ssi pipe and pipe mod, was designed great power (approximately 165 hp) in ethanol mode so you guys don't have to worry about any fuel you run. It's safe and powerful. That's why we designed it. We had all sledders in mind so you don't have to worry.

One thing I think that is good about making the map in eth mode, if the powder commander had a issues and stopped working. You still are safe. Just down on some hp.. expecially on the 16.

Now this is just mpo but wouldn't it have been better to make the map in non E so if a guy runs into bad gas u had that option to go done to E fuel? Could a guy make more power with good fuel in non E mode?

These motors seem to like a bit of ethanol mixed in with the fuel. when we tested my sled at DTR we tested 3 fuels for Ethanol and Octane content...
Shell V-Power 91 Octane 0% Ethanol,
Petro Canada 91 - 91 Octane 7.3% Ethanol
Petro Canada 94 92.4 Octane 6.9% Ethanol.
We Used the Petro Canada 94 for all our testing on the 2016 . Not sure what the Doc was using for fuel in his 2015?
as Brock mentioned earlier, the ethanal hot map is the way to go with bmp and ssi pipe and pipe mod. totally safe and great power!

You can run in non ethanol mode too. Especially the 2015,it should only det if u get bad gas.
It can be run in the 16 too. The 16 is approximately 3% leaner up top then the 15.

I understand that in the pipe shoot out all the Pipes ran better HP #'s with the stock Can. Any idea how much better those #'s were?
I'm sure a lot of people are interested in getting rid of that stock heavy suitcase along with having a can with a stronger tone.

All the pipes that were tested , some had mufflers and some dident. If it was shipped to DTR with a muffler then we tested it that way. Aaen, and slp were the only ones with mufflers. Slp was tested before with and without muffler. No loss in power with slp muffler.

The slp, bikeman mufflers were OK. I forgot to rest the ssi as we had to much going on.

The problem with mufflers is not the loss of hp, it's the loss of cfm that we seen on the dyno. Less cfm then stock sometimes leans it out up top. That's dangerous!!
One muffler would make a sled det and cut out it was so lean. Be warned.
I'd rather have more weight from stock then a muffler that losses cfm and makes it lean up top.

Your choice. I'm sticking with stock as the numbers were very good and the cfm was great.

Plus the SSI pipe mod and stock silencer are very stealthy.

Hey got a question for you guys,I have the ssi pipe mod and ssi billet head kit,I get det mode once in a while,I'm running 93 10% eth fuel,PCV controller with DTR tune, what's your thoughts,I did some wot pulls about a 1/4 mile long and no issue,it seem like short 2 second wot and chop the throttle closed and det mode comes on,other than that it rips big time

Load up your PCV and open the map, fuel map: in th100% column from 3500rpm to 7000 rpm add 10 %. This will act like an accelerator pump circuit, should clear up ur issue
