Hey all,

I’ve got a 1990 Indy 650 triple that I’m turning into a mod sled. The engine has been re built and I put new intakes on all the carbs to replace the old air box. I’ve re jetted and got my mixture and idle where I want it but I’m having a hard time adjusting my RPM at the top end of the powerband.

is there any way I can mess with top end rpm by adjusting the carbs? Can I adjust it by messing with the clutching? Or do I just have to not drive the piss out of it all the time and hope it doesn’t blow up?

If it’s way to rich it will keep it from revving proper rpm. BUT generally rpm is controlled by clutching. And is where I would look to adjust rpm
