Hey guys, new here and fairly new to the sport. I am trying to get my machine ready for the upcoming season and have a few questions.
The sled I acquired is a 2000 RMK 700. Was originally a Xtra-Lite 136. The PO swapped in a Xtra-10 and a 144" track. my concerns are with what was done with the mounting of the skid. It appears that the rear mounts were relocated to the front, about 4.5" to the rear (which relocates the mount to approx 4" back and 3" down), and new brackets installed at the rear about the same difference as the fronts. From what I understand, this should give a better attack angle as well as some lift. What I am looking to do with the sled is mostly trail riding, but want something that can get into some powder occasionally. Are these mods good for performance all around, or will they hinder handling on the trails?
