2018 Titan Adventure 17.5 hrs on clock, really noisy and vibration at low speed, better at higher but noisy again coming off power. Track is correct tension and alignment. I’ve ordered the extra wheel kit hoping this helps but wondering if I have clutch issues.

Update, went for a nice ride today, over 18 hrs now so vibration has tamed down a bit, still more than 600 sdi that I came from, but noise vibration at low speed 25 to 55 Km is still very very pronounced. Can really feel it from the running boards and figure it must be a clutch issue. Thoughts anyone as love the sled otherwise!

Mike I too just purchased a 2019 Titan XC and the track noise and vibration is so annoying.
My dealer is going to change the track to see If the loud noise goes away.

Mine as well has been to dealer and track was aligned and set to proper specs and still extremely noisy and vibration in running boards.

I have a case open with Polaris, hopefully they will get to the bottom off it and I’ll advise when I hear anything

Snowmobile snow check is on yesterday and today here in Ottawa,
I just got back and opened a case as well with Polaris DSM and my dealer.
I was advised that there are many many cases opened for this specific problem with the titan.

I just received a phone call from my dealer.
Polaris wants me to drop off my Titan to change track and to install the extra idler wheels.
Hopefully this will quiet down the excessive track noise.

Good luck, let us know. Any idea about the track there putting on.

Mike
I have a 1.5 Cobra on it and they r replacing it with the same track.
My dealer called Camso and they stated that the 1.325 would be noisier as well as the 1.8 cobra.
They r adding the low snow idler wheels on it too.
Polaris knows that they have an issue with the 155 x 20 track on titans and they have no idea what the fix is.
So in there minds start throwing parts at it and see if noise gets better.
I will post again once I pick up my sled.

Mine has a bad 25-40 mph drone. I will ask my dealer what to do

Mike
I got my machine back on wednesday and I am up in the interior of Quebec trying it out.
Change track and front drive.
It is better but still has a drone.
The vibration I had is gone.
I think that this machine will always have a drone because size of track and length.

Hi George, what do you think made the difference as I think I could handle the drone without the vibration. I’m hoping to get out again this week.
Mike

Vibration is gone
I will be talking to dealership once I get back on Monday.
I will ask for u what exactly they did to remove vibration.
The drone is not that bad.
I am glad vibration gone.
I will reply to you Monday night.
Have a good weekend Mike.

Hi George, I’m heading out in the morning for a ride and wondering how you made out.
Thanks
Mike

Hey guys. I landed on this forum when I googled Titan Vibration. Seems pretty common. My sled has that track noise drone also. But that is something that is common with all wide tracks. I believe the new Ski Doo Expedetion Extreme has a track with some grooves in the lugs to help dampen that noise. Not really sure why 20" tracks make this noise but I'm guessing it has something to do with trapped air as the paddles try to pump it through. I know the old straight bar paddle tracks from the late 90's on 15" tracks snowmobiles would crank out a loud howl. Personally I can live with that but the vibration is a different story. I have a 2019 XC with the 1.8 track. Brought it into the dealer and found that my front drive is bent. I never hit anything to cause this. It did pull my drag for grooming a snowmobile trail this winter. Got about 1400 miles on the sled. So at this point I am questioning the engineering a integrity of this front drive. I will get more information next week and post what I find out. With the exception of this vibration, the sled has worked excellent.

Hi Brad, my 18 Adventure vibration is better after the dealer changed the slides to a different brand and I added the low snow wheel kit but the vibration is still unacceptable. George above was going to advise what changes seemed to solve his issue but unfortunately have not heard back. I have a case open with Polaris and intend to call them this week.

Hey Mike. Yeah I had the low snow wheel kit on mine right from the day I picked it up. It was really nice this spring not having to use ice scratchers or follow shorelines for snow. Anyway, I won't get a test drive on it this year after it is fixed but I asked for a case to be opened also. There is an issue with vibrations and I'm wondering if a lot of it is due to the front drives bending to varying degrees. I did notice over the last month or so a lumpiness feel when I took off slow. I was wondering if I had burned a flat spot in my drive belt but as it turns out it was the front drive. If we keep the pressure on they may come up with a proper fix. Also, I believe a good set of anti-vibration bar mounts would be a nice. Should actually be standard on all sleds or at the very least an available option. I have started grinding my dealer on this also....and I'm not done yet LOL. Rox Speed FX makes some but none will fit the Titan steering post with the tee.

Brad

Well the front drive was replaced with no questions asked from Polaris. The guys had put it on the lathe and found it to be out .080" in the center. I don't believe they put the new one on the lathe to check it before installation. I'm very suspicious that they may be warped right from the factory. It is an extremely heavy duty front drive axle. I don't believe they could get bent without a very significant event. We will see next season weather I find an improvement. If anyone is getting a new front drive, request that they check the tolerances before installation. Have a great summer.
