It's been stated on this site that FP's backshift better. Completely false. It has to back shift against a steeper + increasing angle rather than the straight, let's say 44 finish angle that a compound has. The initial angle is a very short duration once the clutches start shifting out. This...
Do you know if the SLP ported ones run consistent.? I've had my fill of inconsistent running sleds from pipes and porting that no amount of map adjustments could cure.
I hope they do something in the trail line up. More IGX style suspensions. Something to compete with the 850 one. Stock for stock similar setups the 850 is quicker and faster.
I think they are going to release a turbo 4stroke.
A value sled like the renegade 600 carb would also be a good move...
Thanks.
SLP has switched to using a bullydog now. I will have to talk to them about using a PCV. I already have one with ignition. I'll see if they have maps and what the performance differences are.
Did you have the porting done on 15+ 800 or the older one? Some say porting the newer 800 isn't...
Lined up several times. Mine, clutched, heavily studded would pull a couple lengths and stay that way until we let off at about 800-1000' From a dead stop or roll ons. Better from a dead stop for mine. Pro-s completely stock, equally studded was getting beat by a good bit by both.
Stock for...
Tss04 and 1.74. Tested several springs and helix. Always needed heel weight with the TM's.
That being said I also switched back to using SLP magnums. The TM's are a good drag racing weight but the SLP's are far better overall.
The TM's have very little shift force down low and then become very aggressive mid/top. Heavy tips make for a very lazy set up with those weights. They need heel weight more than anything IMO. I was loading them about 70%heel. 30%tip. Take it for what it's worth but I played around and tested...
I will be riding with one for a couple days later this week and will report back. Should be a good test. I have an assault, he's on a 850 renegade both aggressively studded. Mines clutched and easily puts lengths on 800etechs, and stock clutched sba's and pro-s'. See how it goes but by the...
