whats everyone running for clutching in there 600's

I am debating trying a 48-44-F—-46-42-F

No, but those angles are together on a dual Trac heel

Did ya get a chance to try that helix yet racerdave?

No. I put 153 break in miles on last week in poor conditions but that is done at least.

Ok, I am currently running northstar performance setup that he recommended for racing. Still trying to get it dialed in.

Nothing new to report. Gotta change out secondary spring and re try setup when I get time. Right now I'm running gabes setup with 21-42 gears. I was 2 lengths behind my buddies assault last year with stock clutching. Here is this year.

That's a real low ratio Brett. Do u like it??

I like it so far. Any stock 600 I lined up so far can't beat it in 660'. Seems to pull hard right through. Here is a vid for comparison with a bad start on my part with the assault.

That's a good gear ratio for 660' and 800'. But not for top end. As long as u like it it's all that matters.

I only use that ratio for racing. I go back to a 22-41 usually for trail.

how hard are you guys turning these motors? my '16 600 sp ran 8200 to 8250 with 64grams. I put 66 grams in and it still turns 8200+. I have a dyno sheet that shows these make best power at 7700 to 7800. any ideas?

that dyno sheet is wrong or the dyno is off

I find mine to work best between 8150-8250 rpm. Anything after that they are falling off fast.

Brett, have you tried loading it any heavier, maybe 68 grams, to run at 8000? I'd try it but we have zero snow here. DT has been close on the dyno numbers over the years, maybe they missed on this one.

68 are going to be way to heavy for a 600 imo. At 7800-7900 this motor is sluggish I find in my testing. I ran 10-66 with a team 140-330 primary spring with stock secondary setup and seen improvements. If memory serves me right it ran around 8100-8150. I currently have Qap2 loaded to 64g. But I ran them loaded to 65 last year with gabes clutching. Hope this helps.
