well the charger & block heater make sense, those guys were like 48 yrs old & I'm sure the saleman at the dealership was going on & on about reliability & you can run these 25,000 miles blah blah & they wanted 4 stroke for reliability & not to rip down trails & hit corners hard but the saleman probly never mentioned extreme weather cold starts & precautions to take blah blah. I know there is a market for 4 strokes, of course some people typically older folks that don't ride hard anymore, or the husband & wife on a 2 up 4 stroke, its great for them. but my opinion is guys that ride hard on or off trail 99% of the time go for a 2 stroke. I ride up in maine (trails) & after a few years ive learned certain people ride certain brand sleds & certain engine type. like 1 out of 10 newer ski doo model trail riders ride hard.... 90% is a husband riding all slow ahead of the wife who trying to catch up but they seem convinced ski doo is the best because its the most expensive brand, so its like 90% of newer skidoos are 40 to 55 year olds doing 35mph all day which is fine, I see groups of 20 like this lined up at the pump all klim gear head to toe, its just a pattern I noticed. most of the Yamaha 4 strokes I see on trails are 2 up, husband & wife which makes total sense, that's kinda the niche for the big heavy Cadillac, comfy for wife & easy for husband to keep running. but to say Polaris is missing out on the 4 stroke market is a silly statement, they have every stat on every sled sold in north America annually, they know when a change is needed to keep up w a certain market. you do know that Polaris switchback pro s 800 won all round sled of the year last year? (snow trax tv) & the RMK won mountains sled of the year this year. (sled trax) & the pro S came in 2nd this year behind the cat because arctic finally improved the suspension on the ZR8000 (I think that's model).according to snow trax guys who have no agenda & beat on these sleds all season long before they do a full review so I trust their opinions. they said the RMK left the competition in the dust & like 30 lbs lighter than the comp. Yamaha is last the last 2 years on trail (4 stroke models) then ski doo is 3rd on trails then Polaris & cat are one & 2 most years. they said they have no clue why u pay so much more for a ski doo & they have no idea what u actually get for all the extra cost. cat & Polaris lead the industry, they aren't missing the market, the market is trying to catch up w them
