Trying to get this clutching and gearing dialed in.... heres the setup right now
140/320 spring with bikeman 10 series profile weights, 140-200 spring with 64-60 helix, 1.74 gearing. Track is 1.35 cobra with 168 lake racing studs. She hooks

Right now i cant seem to pull good rpm. Its like it shift to fast or something and ill loose rpms after i wavk it to wot and it just can never recover. I had weights in 2,2,2,1 and rpm was 8100 then tried 2,2,3,2 and rpm dropped to 7800-7900.
I have primary springs, 140/310, 140/330,140/340 also i can try and 155-222 and 160-240 for secondary springs. Also the other side of the helix is 66-62 also
Any tips please!!!!

The 66-62 will up shift faster than the 64-60 and load motor more. For now, I would throw the 160-240 in there and see what happens. The spring rate of the 140-200 is 54 #/in and the 160-240 is 72. So that will slow up the shift out. Not sure how those wts work, but it looks like your rpm's were low and then you added wt and it lowered thr rpm even more. If this is the case, then you need to remove wt to get rpm up.

I would have tried the 155-222 first. 160-240 is a lot of pressure for the secondary IMO.

If that doesn't work, try your other weights...

Ok just tried the 160-240. Rpms were definitely more consistent but with my lake having no snow and the ice is bumpy not smooth consistent traction is hard.

That 64-60 is like a 46-42, IMO if you have to add more rear spring to run that helix, ur issue is in the primary clutch, or ur down on power..

Tom, as mentioned the 155-222 black would be worth trying.. not sure of the weight profile ur using, you may have to drop below a 60 finish if you want to use those weights..on a separate note , how efficient is ur motor running? Wfo , what's ur AFR reading? And pipe temp? Did you take the chisels out of the track?

Compression is still the same as last year when it was pulling like a freight train i just checked it the other day so power is still there. Afr is 12.8-12.9 with pipe temps around 1100-1200 in trail but 1000 in short 8 sec pulls. I still have 24 chissles but im running the one size shorter studs, same ins stingers but wanted to save the long ones for st germain where you cant run chissles. I have the 155-222 spring. Its what i had in there first with the 66-62 helix.

Indy dan rebuilt, machined for overdrive and balanced my primary clutch. I also have a set of 70 gram epi bellybusters i can try. I might try regearing back to stock and just start over to

I am gonna lean it out a bit more cuz it seems alittle more rich now after i cleaned my fuel sock when it was running like shit 2 weeks ago.

How is ur belt? Did you try a different one? That spring and helix combo is normal, not aggressive..what your going to have to do is figure out what weight you want to run and taylor the secondary around it..

Ya ive tried 2 different gates belts and 2 different polaris belts. No changes in rpm. I figured i would be able to pull more weight then stock. Just rattling my brain over here

When I asked Venom what multi angle Team Tied helix they have that would best match the performance of the TSS-04 48-44 and 50-44 helix, they stated the P/N 960013 64-60F—66-62F would be the closest.

I also asked Venom what Full Progressive Helix would be a close match to the angles 68-63 and 66-61 in the TSS-04 and they stated the Lw420766 would be the closest part #, and custom it would be a 51-46F/49-44F.

Dr.Notadoo suggested a Team Tied Helix of 68-63 and 66-61. Depending on helix angle running, to have a 120-220, 140-200 and 140-220 secondary spring on hand.

Its been said a 68-63 is like a 50-44 and a 66-62 is like a 48-44. Its also been said a 66-61 Tied helix might be best if you want to best mirror the 50-44 FP TSS-04 helix....

So currently, what is the consensus on what angles to run for a Team Tied helix (knowing two angles can be done for one helix) and knowing most have a pipe or otherwise running more HP and RPM over stock?

the problem I see is when talking to venom is they gave me a range on the degrees...its not black and white..

pros 800 what weight were you running with the tss04 i have a similar set up i started at 70.5 grahams and I am at 68 grahams now with adjustable Dalton adjustable and 68 graham epi belly busters getting similar results 8350 will see the odd 8400 just due to conditions all i can say is the tied is faster ,but last year in warm weather with my tss04 50/44f and q1 speedwerx weights with 68.8 grams with tip weight i would pull 8500 to 8600 at will and with a very mild timing and fuel map
put the 66-62f and less weight and see what happens different clutch may require different tune up im sure when you get your tune up you will love the tied dont want to sound foolish but my sled is so smooth it feels like a triple

Last year i could pull 8400 all day with 70.5 grams in my ssi weights, 120/310 spring, 140/220 50-44 helix, 1.74 gears, 1.25 ripsaw with crappy studs

No i didnt like the tuckedness of the ssi weights and bushing are shot. Right now i have bikeman adjustable 10 series profile, i also have 70 gram epi weights, 10-68 and 10-66 weights
