I would agree with that. The 700 was a torgue motor, which is good for short run racing. BUT, I never went lower than 23-40 as I always , to this day, like topend also. For 500 ft at least in testing, if the temps are low, give some 66gram weights a try. The 220 stock pipe motors ran best around 77-78 rpms vs the 824's at around 8g's. Thats why I would try some 66's or 65 grams.
I have a buddy that we have know each other since i was in 1st grade and he was in kindergarden. To this day the best compliment he ever gave me was in the winter of 99 in reference to my 98 XC7. He said, "I ain't riding that thing again, it scares me!!" I took that as high praise.
