Black Scorpion Project

Id like to have them on both sides just for protection but not really worried about the other side. Maybe if it wears enough later i can stick it in there

Started installing my LED light bar. Made aluminum mount and had it powder coated black. Fender washers on backside. I like night rides. Its like a all new experience.

mounting the light was the easy part. Has a waterproof quick disconnect if i need to take hood off for some reason. should light up nice. Had this light on my last sled.

Now the wiring was a bit of work if you want to do it nice. I used a waterproof relay. To provide power for LED light and USB port. Relay will provide power only when sled is running so you can never forget light on or something charging on USB plug. Water proof switch for light.

I always use The tie straps made for the cold and stronger

I needed 3 sealed fues holders. power for relay, power for USB power, power for LED light

Also used the Power connector kit from catzass.net

i used the power connector to turn the relay on only. thats its only job. Separate power for relay load is power from batt directly.

Used the new connector to plug into the stock power plug by the belt guard. It only comes on when sled is running. Perfect. No hacking wires. just plug in.

You could also use the other power supply under the steering if its not used. most people power the helmet visor power from that one. The new connector will plug right into that one too

The rest of the light install. Quick connect by the belt guard. Start sled and all works. Will have to adjust light angle down on first ride.. When your accellerating the sled tilts up and stock light dont point down anymore. Light bar spread the light close and wide.

Looks like some of the strobe lights I used to mount on squad cars. What brand is it?

Upgrade the loose steering thats on all of them. You have to remove the hood, intake assembly. Remove the top steering clamp only.

Use a grinder and grind it down to about 1.68"

Put some grease where the clamp. Bolt it back on and you wont have any play at all. It rocks!

Made a 80" ECU power cable for when i plug into the diagnostic port next time. Another use for the power plug kit. So far i used for ecu cable, USB, Relay. Might have to order some more for future use or change accessories.

Plug it into my batt charge cable on my battery and plug it into the ECU power connector

Was using the wireless wrench to look at some stuff. Theres like 5 pages of readings. You can also look at whatever you want analog style.

Everything looks great. Thank you for sharing your upgrades.

Lights are nice! I could never drill holes in my hood though! That wireless link is really neat. You can also view all that info using a bullydog. That power up cable seems like a great idea

Almost forgot to put my decals on. Haha

Decided to install the underhood goggle bag. Its actually for the pro ride but i made it work. Im just putting stuff in it i will only need in a emergency. tow rope, tools, etc. Instead of taking up main storage bags. Its a heavy duty bag. This takes some work...
