Is a 310 finish about rightYes drop spring first, then add weight if needed

48 44 140 200 springYes, great place to start. What else is in the clutch kit, in secondary I mean?
It's a green spring I might be wrong with rate.Really it comes with a 48-44 full? Ths spring is to strong IMO, on the start, but better then most
BMP green is 140/220It's a green spring I might be wrong with rate.
I have Bikeman pipe and PCV installed on sled. Just changed gearing to 1.74 and now is over revving to 8600 8700. I have Bikeman clutch kit installed also set to there specs 2-2-2-2. Drive clutch spring has finish rate of 340. Would it be better to drop finish rate or add more weight to arms.
To the top. I used to have an Exhaust Gas Technologies gauge on my 2000 XCR 800. It has to be calibrated before it is accurate. Just barely moving the ratio is 19.99-1. Best I ever saw the full shift out past 1-1 was .92-1. That's a killer overdrive. How far up the primary is full shiftout?
Ok, I'm a light 1/4" from top. I have 1.74 ratio, 120-310 w/cutler tm @ 65g, 54-40f w/155/222 and gates belt. I had a 140-200 but had a lot of track spin. Gonna try 140-220. What do I need to do to get to the top of primary??To the top. I used to have an Exhaust Gas Technologies gauge on my 2000 XCR 800. It has to be calibrated before it is accurate. More weight or a softer primary spring.Ok, I'm a light 1/4" from top. I have 1.74 ratio, 120-310 w/cutler tm @ 65g, 54-40f w/155/222 and gates belt. I had a 140-200 but had a lot of track spin. Gonna try 140-220. What do I need to do to get to the top of primary??

What he said.x2....add more tip weight and check belt to sheave clearance for starters.
When I add weight I loose rpm, to gain rpm wouldn't a stiffer spring work allowing me to use more weight?More weight or a softer primary spring.
How much more weight do you add? When I add weight I loose rpm, to gain rpm wouldn't a stiffer spring work allowing me to use more weight?
These are the same as daltons, I had 2g and turned 8-8100, switched to .82 and gained, removed them so just running 65g with no added weights and got 8250-8300.How much more weight do you add?
Just keep adding weight til it falls on its face then back off a bit. These are the same as daltons, I had 2g and turned 8-8100, switched to .82 and gained, removed them so just running 65g with no added weights and got 8250-8300.
