Indy 600 clutching

But we are talking about a 600.
Yeah just wondering if they'd work with a 660 big bore or if they'd make some for a 600 just up in the air what I want to do 600 mod or 660 also have a nos kit to use want to make something with some big hp # for a 600

Put the 10-64.5's in today. Hopefully Wisconsin cools back down mid next week to get some time in.

If you guys are trying to use the 11 series weights, i find you need a higher finish on the primary spring. Also stiffer on the secondary.
Now for my 800s, I can pull 11-66s with a 140/340 primary spring in my Stock motor INDY with a 54/42 helix, 140/240 spring.
Modded INDY pulls a 54/44 140/260, 11-68s, 140/340 Primary spring.

I was running the 120-340 Blk Green spring with the 11-64's. To go beyond that in the primary I have to use a Goodwin purple 140-360 that I do have.

Anyone have anymore testing done with the 11-64s?

Changing from the 11-64 to 10-64's did not change topend rpm. Still dead nuts on 7950. Last time I did not check mph. This time I watched speedo right at 100mph and gps said max speed of 98. So I have a baseline there. I just changed the secondary spring to a 140-220 blk green Same road tomorrow, pretty much same conditions and same amount of gas will be in tank. Will see if I gain some rpm and if that equal more topend mph.

Racerdave I think 8000 is the magic number for these 600. I will be testing setups tmw. Will report on my findings. Trying the 11s

I don't disagree, I want to see if there is more or less with more rpm, I was suprised the 10-64's and 11-64's pulled the same rpm with everything else being equal. Alot of guys run 8100-8200 rpm based on AXYS dyno test. The AXYS pipe is different and it looks like the head and cylinder has different part numbers also.

Yes exactly. You would think the 10s would give ya 100+\- rpm more over the 11s.

I read somewhere that the AXYS 600 peak rpm is up 200- 300 rpm from the Pro-R 600.
Take this with a grain of salt, but my 2016 600 Switchback owners manual says operating rpm is 8250, + or - 200 rpm. In the same manual the 800 is the identical, 8250 + or - 200rpm.

On my '16 600 Switchback Adventure, peak rpm's are at 8200-8250 with stock clutching.

Here are the gains I made since last year was two lengths behind the viper on the left. Bad camera angle on my buddies sled. But I'm the red Indy on the left.
